Holistic Unsettled Baby Support

Beautiful new baby?

Crying all. the. time?

Let me help.

Having a baby who cries or fusses a lot can be a really distressing introduction to parenthood.

My first baby was a crier and it was hard. It’s a problem that deserves a thoughtful, evidence-based approach, but too often parents are sent away with an “it’ll pass” or just a script for reflux medicine.

As a doctor and an NDC (Possums) accredited practitioner, I can both assess your baby for medical causes of unsettled behaviour as well as applying the NDC Five Domain Approach to (hopefully!) reduce the crying and fussing.

The NDC approach is a modern, holistic framework that is protective of your baby’s developing nervous system. (The five domains are baby’s health, feeds, sleep, sensory nourishment and parent’s mental health - we’ll address them all).

During your 60 minute unsettled baby consultation, I will:

  • Take a full medical history of your baby and the problem you’re having

  • Examine your baby from top to toe

  • Observe your baby feed

  • Apply the NDC Five Domain Approach

  • Identify likely contributors to your baby’s unsettled behaviour, including any potential medical causes

  • Provide you with a comprehensive plan to improve things

Common concerns we can address in your consultation:

  • Feeding problems

  • Sleep problems

  • Reflux, allergies, intolerances and other gut problems

  • Parent/s mental health and coping

  • Baby:
